Benefits

Tree Project cycles begin in June/July each year with the sowing of seeds in nurseries. Six months later in December/January the saplings are planted out in tree woodlots. Mbedza will track your contribution from seed to sapling to tree providing you with photographic updates 2 or 3 times a year so that you can see the progress of your trees. Every tree planted helps offset CO2 emissions.

10 trees per month will give you a bank of 120 trees per year. 120 trees will offset 1.56 tonnes of carbon after one year. After 2 years those 120 trees will offset 3.31 tonnes of carbon and after 5 years 10.15 tonnes.

If you bank 10 trees per month planting 120 trees at the beginning of each cycle after 5 years you will offset 27.96 tonnes of carbon.
